I have partnered with community, cultural and civic institutions to create spaces that engage and educate.

My story

Since the pandemic I have been focusing on parenting while starting an independent museum planning consultancy and re-connecting with local environmental activism. I have had time to reflect on my approach as an exhibit design professional committed to museum projects that inspire and educate, to my earlier years as an activist media educator working with youth to critique mainstream media and lift up underrepresented voices. Reflecting on 20 years in exhibit design + museum planning and construction management and 5 years of arts education, I have learned to navigate project hurdles with modesty and developed a proactive, collaborative approach that centers co-design, engagement and visitor experience.

Driven by curiosity

My academic training is in architecture, a discipline which has given me the extensive background to develop, design and create exhibits for museums and cultural institutions. I am a lifelong learner with a deep interest in pedagogy and a strong commitment to fostering community. Working collaboratively with multi-talented teams to create interpretive programs and develop interactive exhibition designs for cultural institutions and natural history museums, I have honed my visual storytelling and facilitation skills. I have significant experience partnering with stakeholders to develop and manage capital projects, serving as the key liaison, managing correspondence, logistics optimization, and project budgets. My collaborative approach has been informed by working with museum staff, state, university and cultural advisory panels on multi-year museum planning efforts as well as working with multicultural, muti-vocal grassroots organizations on social justice projects. I have worked with diverse teams building consensus through respectful collaboration and clear communication and I am committed to collaborative, inclusive DEI process based work.

Their attention to detail and commitment to quality truly stood out. We’ve already recommended them to others.
